Post-scriptum: the New York show was a howling success, and the cast was on fire. So was the audience. The iPad was finally banished from the stage, and everything seemed to have coalesced during the 72 hours between the performances. The artists were at their most potent. Shiyu: the captivating, prismatic virtuoso; Anna Maria, the wellspring of warmth; Nathan, the poetic seducer; Will, the steadfast oracle; and Luis, the take-no-hostages tamer of the 88s. Bénédicte and I are grateful to all of them.

We also want to express our profound gratitude to Eileen Caulfield Schwab for her generosity in underwriting this performance and residency. Her sustaining support makes this transformational experience possible.
