A series of professional training residencies led by the NYFOS Artistic Directors. These song-intensives train young artists in programming and translation, presentation and production, and research and musical style. The culminating concerts are, in the words of The New York Times, “A hotbed of intriguing selections and rising singers.”

Cubans in Paris, Cubans at Home

Music straddling the concert hall, night club, and theater by Cuban expatriates living in Paris, including Ernesto Lecuona, Moisés Simons, and many others, performed by young talents from The Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts with Steven Blier as pianist and host.

The concert will feature a cast of exciting young voices as NYFOS marks its twelfth annual residency at Caramoor Center for the Music and the Arts with pianists and hosts Steven Blier and Michael Barrett. These talented young singers will perform works by Montsalvatge, Rachmaninoff, Jonathan Dove, Tom Lehrer, The Kinks, and many others.
